Chicago, IL- The Chicago Bulldogs officially anounced that they are ceasing operations in the DAHL effective immediately. They will resume operations in another league to be announced at a later date. The Chicago Bulldogs optioned to remove themselves due to failed negotiations with the DAHL . The new season resumes play in September. In the meantime the Bulldogs front office has shaken up the roster by making several moves.

They resigned defensemen Jason Darfler and James Senne after a summer hiatus playing in the Mexican League. Also returning to the squad was veteran wingers Joey F.V. and Mike Mancuso.

Due to piss poor play, a questionable attitude, alienating teammates and an IQ below room temperature, the Bulldogs announced the outright release of Tom "Radio" Mitrosz. Mitrosz originally came to the Bulldogs in 2010 as part of a lost bet between GM Alex Martinez and Special Olympics comissioner, Peter O'Meara.

Mitrosz made an impact from the start; a negative impact, that is. "Tom was given every opportunity to make this club, and was given the benefit of the doubt due to his youth" said Martinez. "We felt with some maturity, and mentoring he would develop into a solid player. However he created many enemies by offending the people trying to help him with dispariging, sometimes even going as far as making racist remarks. With our diversity, that certainly rubbed people the wrong way."

"He also engaged in silly tweets, posts and emails, further embarrassing our organization. When he was disciplined for his actions, and the punishment made the news, he went as far as to cry hysterically, threaten a lawsuit and feign depression. Factor in his inability to skate, play defense, get his shot up above 12 mph or determine how many players should be on the ice during a penalty kill, we felt we made the right decision. We have no tolerance for this kind of childish behavior."

Mitrosz was picked up by the lowly Chicago Wolverines, an upstart organization for the socially challenged. In an attempt to contact him for comment, Mitrosz's only response was "Those damn cheesed**ks"!

The Bulldogs also made room on the roster by releasing Nic Bross and Ryan Scanlon. Centers Peter Katowicz, Ryne Gerstner and Dan DiFatta have opted for free agency. The Bulldogs have made an offer for all three to return, but will have to await their final decisions.

More information will be provided when available.
