From the Front Office to the Front Lines

Chicago, IL- The Chicago Bulldogs come into this season with a deep and formidable group on offense. During the off season they managed to sign (and re-sign) a couple of new players, restructure a few contracts and prevent some from leaving altogether. In today’s edition of Running with the Bulldogs, we will take a closer look at the men who will crash the net this season for the Bulldogs.

Angry Kat
Disgruntled player Peter Katowicz was able to restructre his contract after taking a year off to nurse a very questionable injury. Some insiders claim that his willingness to restructure is one of main reasons he is still with the club. Although it is the team’s policy not to disclose the terms of Bulldogs contracts, we can say that Peter will finally get the jersey he won back in October of 2008.

Katowicz skills and ability has no doubt raised the level of the Bulldogs overall offensive scheme. However, his “it’s all about me” attitude could use a serious makeover. Management had hoped that Katowicz would not only score goals this season, but hoped that he would also score some points in the locker room with his teammates.

"Hey I’ve been compared to T.O and Ochco Cinco! It’s all about me, babe!” commented Katowicz. “My issue with the guys on the team is that they are a bunch of LAME-O’s who can’t keep up with me. I invite them to the crib, to you know, do what all athletes do. Like hit the local shake joints, but they never show up.”

Not So Fast, Peter
Dan DiFatta, who also happens to be related to that old guy you see dancing in the Six Flags commercial, was the leading offensive threat before Katowicz rejoined the squad. Unlike Katowicz, he is one of those players who does all of his talking ON the ice. Since joining the Bulldogs back in 2008, DiFatta has multiple scoring titles and awards, including Most Valuable Player.

I Go Both Ways
One time defenseman Joe Koehler, is rapidly gaining the respect from teammates and fans, both on and off the ice. Not only is becoming a fan favorite, but he’s also one of the team’s unofficial leaders. With a “take no prisoners” attitude and doing whatever it takes to score goals, Koehler appears to be looking at a long career with the Bulldogs organization.

Who is this Guy?
Rookie Cullen Johnson is still a mystery; but so far so good. While the Bulldogs wait to hear back from the CIA and Homeland Security for the background check, Cullen has been more than a team player contributing on the ice and itching to make his mark/ legacy with the Bulldogs.

The Ol’ G’s
Not to be forgotten are the Bulldog’s "Ol G's". Mike Mancuso (also know as being Zach Galifianakis stunt double in "The Hangover"), Tony Feeney (who has always put the team and beer before himself), Bill Nolan (who is the last known survivor of the original 12 disciples) and Joe Van Grimbergen (Team Captain) are the team’s grinders contributing much more than goals  in wins for the Bulldogs.

Team KAREEM

Last but not least are Sam and Maher Karim. We know they’re brothers! Some say they’re goons! But the opponents call them thugs. These two (along with Alex Martinez) are the last of the original Bulldogs. Even though Maher is every bit as good as he was back in 2002 (thankfully video from 2002 is not available), Sam continues to improve, not only with his offensive skills but controlling his temper
