STATEMENT FROM THE CHICAGO BULLDOGS
Today, the National Hockey League Board of Governors
confirmed that NHL teams will not play. As a result, the
opening of training camps will be delayed and the start
of the 2004-05 regular season is in jeopardy. The bottom
line to all this, is that the NHL and it's players just
gave it's employee's and fans the BIG MIDDLE FINGER.
Though we an as organization understand both sides, it's
difficult to believe that the Owners are not making
money and the players are not making enough. Do you know
how expensive it is to take a family of four to an NHL
game? It cost an arm, a leg and my right testicle.
I invite
all the disgruntled NHL fans to come out and support the
Chicago Bulldogs, who are heading into there second
season at The Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, IL and
enjoy hockey at the Beer League Level.
Finally, I
want to comment on Gary's Bettman statement that "the
game as we know is in Jeopardy". The NHL may be in
jeopardy, but this great game of Hockey will live on. We
do not live for the NHL, we live for the Game, the game
that's played in the ponds and in the streets, the game
that has thought us life lessons and has given us life
long friends. So in return Gary Bettman and all involved
in not getting the NHL started, FUCK YOU TOO!
