‘Bulldogs’ Crushed by ‘ROH’

 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS Reserve One Homes Date/Time Rink
-3 57 07/25/2006 @ 7:20pm Johnny's Ice House

July 26th, 2006- The ‘Bulldogs’ hopes of moving into second place and getting a first round bye in the playoffs were diminished when they went down in defeat at the hands of ‘Reserve One Homes’. In their two previous contests, the two clubs tied (3-3 on 4/10) and ‘ROH’ defeated (8-2 on 6/4) the ‘Dogs’. Coming into the game, ‘ROH’ had a 15-0-1 record, having easily clinched first place weeks ago.

The ‘Bulldogs’ looked bad--- real bad. They were a defeated team, even before they stepped onto the ice. They were destined to lose because everyone said they would. ‘ROH’ had already ordered the victory cigars. JIH had already informed the ‘Bulldogs’ that they would be banished from the league for being a “lousy team and a nuisance”. Fans sent scores of hate mail. The scorekeeper warned the squad to watch their backs and there were even rumors of an officiating conspiracy.

In the end, none of it mattered. There were no conspiracies, the commissioner didn’t throw the club out of the league before the game and the scorned fans didn’t pelt the players with batteries. The ‘Dogs’ were just plain beaten, schooled by a superior squad. The final score of 57 to -3, tells the story of this massacre.

Pretty tragic isn’t it? It would be if it were true. The fact is the recap above was written prior to the game as the template for this article. If you’d like to read the real story, Click Here.....
