2004-
Again, the
Bulldogs couldn't pull out a victory this week
against the Jesters in a 7-5 loss. Despite many
opportunities, the Bulldogs failed to capitalized
and continued the losing streak.
Prior to
the start of the game, the Bulldogs became preoccupied
by several issues and an odd discovery. First, Ted
Markos suspension was lifted after attending his
hearing. Second, Alex Martinez made an odd discovery
in the team locker room. Martinez explained the
finding "I entered the locker room and stumbled
upon some hockey bags from the kids on the ice. In one
of the bags there was an African-American baby doll. I
was dumbfounded and completely lost focus on the
game.” This distraction coupled with the
another absence of Dan Ayotte led to
the Bulldog's ultimate demise. The Bulldogs were
dominated in the first period despite the Jester only
having 6 players and 1 goalie. Alex Martinez decided
to spot the Jesters 2 goal in the first.
In the
second period, the Bulldog's revived their focus and
scored 4 goals in a matter of minutes. Overly pleased
with their second period performance and having the
game tied and a chance for a first EVER win,
the Bulldog's decided to let their guard down again in
the third.
A bit of
action occurred in the third with both teams scoring
and eventually the Jesters hitting an empty netter at
the end to seal the deal.
In
conclusion, the Bulldog's played solid hockey game,
but desperately need to regroup and put forth a
serious effort to produce a win.
The Good-
-Sean O'Connell broke our
of his slump and had his first Hat Trick of the season.
-More than 5 guys showed
up. We actually outnumbered the other team bench.
- Hey Gil, where you been!
Glad you could make it!
The Bad-
-Catching passed still an
issue along with panicking with the puck.
-No back checking from some
forwards, it's killing the defensive effort.
-What's with the Pirate
Patch Tony?
The Ugly-
-The African American doll
found in the locker room.
-Alex Martinez going
commando while playing.
-Two defenders protecting
the net, with less than a minute to go while the four
other players busted their ass in trying to score.
