May
25th, 2004: BENSENVILLE, IL-
The score of 11-0 doesn't tell the whole
story. It certainly doesn't take much thought to
see how badly the Bulldogs got their proverbial
asses handed to them.
Being undermanned, outclassed and outplayed in
every sense, the Bulldogs fought hard for two
periods, before the M.M's broke the game open in
the third.
This is
ridiculous" said Dan Ayotte. "We need more guys.
Most of us are gassed by the end of the first
period. We can't continue to keep up with the
other team, if we are continually short on
available skaters. The Bulldogs need help soon, or
its going to be a long season. They played their
third consecutive game without a good portion of
their natural defenders in uniform. Injuries to
Kurt Swanson, Gil Saunders & Mike Mysliwec forced
the 'Dogs' to start wingers and centers in their
place. Although they held their own for the first
30 minutes, they were overmatched and the
'Malone's' took full advantage of it.
The Bulldogs
hope to rebound next week in an effort to
compensate for their
embarrassing performance vs. the "Molly Malone's".
