 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS GREEN BERETS Date/Time Rink
9 4 06/20/2007 IIC, Romeoville, IL

June 22nd, 2007- It's not often that you see a team go with an incomplete lineup even in none-professional sports, but that's what the Bulldogs did against the whiney Green Berets on Wednesday night at the International Ice Centre in Romeoville..

Even though they played with a short bench, using 12 skaters in total, the team still came out victorious, handily beating the Green Berets by a score of 9-4.

The game started with a sold out crowd, mostly due to the very popular (by the homosexual community) “Sam Karim” thong giveaway night.  In attendance were, girlfriends, boyfriends, mothers, fathers and yes the Cow’s representing the Green Berets contingency.

The 12 skaters that dressed for the game, including 2 recent call-ups (Ryne Gerstner & Phil Manno), picked up the slack for the missing Bulldogs and perform beyond expectations.

It’s not injuries that left the Bulldogs short handed, but instead nemeses that the team had yet to face this season. Deportations, Arrest’s, CIA missions and Penis enlargement surgeries have all contributed to the MIA’s.

"I thought that the guys went out and stepped up their play," said team Captain Joey F*cken V.  of playing short handed. "We had a couple of guys playing out of position."

"I don't think there are too many teams that can pull off something like that," said goaltender Martinez about playing with all of the missing players and problems that the team has dealt with. "To have some guys out and yet see that our guys step up is great."

While the offense swarmed the Green Berets net, the defense, led by Joey Koehler, played soundly in their own end. Martinez actually put on a clinic for all to see as he stopped 24 of the 28 Green Berets shots he faced, earning his 5th victory of the season. Telling of the netminder's night, Martinez made a spectacular save in the first period as he robbed a Green Beret with a pad save as he was lying on the ice. “Its all about my Defense” said Martinez ‘My nigga’s, Joey, Danny, Sam and John boy really made things easy tonight”.

The Bulldogs took an early lead in the first period and never looked back. Joe Koehler, Ryne Gerstner and Phil Manno scored a total of 5 goals in the game’s opening period as the Green Berets were in shock.

In danger of losing their first game of the season, the Green Berets did what any veteran team usually do and that is Cry, Bitch, Moan, Take Dives, Bribe the Refs and take Cheap Shots. This actually worked in their favor as good old “Mr. Maggo and the Chinese Hitler” were on the Officiating prowl calling everything on the Bulldogs. The second ended with the Whiny Berets closing in on the Bulldogs lead 6-3.

The game starting to get out of control with rookie Karl Hayes being escorted out the building in the second and Joe Koehler sitting in the sin bin for asking the Chinese Hitler why was the sky blue, the Bulldogs cooled off and ended the beating in the third and final frame. Chris Bednarek would do all the honors in the third, scoring 3 goals on the Green Berets awesome, very talented and cat like reflexes (hahahahahahaha) goalie.

The victory helps vault the Bulldogs to a record of 5-2 (10 points) on the season, and inch closer to the top spot in the league.

Notes- Prior to the game the Bulldogs Management recalled Ryne Gerstner and Phil Manno from the Monterey Maher's. Both were signed Summer contracts.

The Good:

  • Offense: Shock and Awed the competition, they never saw it coming.
  • Defense: Monster's... they made life easy for the players sucking wind.
  • Goaltending: Martinez had one of his better games.
  • Subs: Who needs Hillbillies when you have fat ass half Mexicans subbing. Both subs played great.

The Bad:

  • The Bitching: I kind of expect it from Old Women, but hockey players? Naw!!!!

  • Underestimated: The Bulldogs underestimated the Green Berets Goalie. Made 17 saves of the 26 shots. His abilities will forever be on the minds of the players that played him and is a sure bet to hit the Hall of Fame some day. We should all recognize that we have greatness walking or wobbling among us.

 The Ugly:

  • Chinese Hitler: Just when you think your safe... this ignoramus of an Official hits the ice. This is the same guy who I remember cursing up a storm at the ice rink in front of some young girls and then kissing ass at the time to a new GM. Call him a Chinese Hitler Transformer who changes face's in less than 10 seconds. Should not be allowed to walk the earth let alone Ref a game.
