 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS FULL HOUSE Date/Time Rink
9 11 07/02/2007 IIC, Romeoville, IL

July 6th, 2007- The Mid-Way point of the season has arrived and it may have come at a good time, as most of the Bulldogs players and coaches get time to recuperate from the brutal stretch that the team just went through. In the last game before a nice break, the Bulldogs lost for the first time this season to Full House at the International Ice Centre, 11-9.

The Bulldogs started the night with three of there four defenders out for the game. Joey Koehler, Danny Bednarek and Tony Feeney all were in FBI custody as they were being questioned for possible ties to the London Terror Attacks.

All were released the following day and the incident made the fans wonder if Full House or even the Chinese Hitler had anything to do with it. With that, the Bulldogs came out flat to start the game while Full House came out flying.

"It took us awhile to get our legs going and get skating the way we can," said Captain Joe Van Grimbergen, who had three of the Bulldogs goals. "Halfway through the game we started to take over and we battled back. We never quit, and that’s what we're trying to do whether we're up by two goals or down by two goals.

"We're GOD d*m disappointed," said head coach Jules Winnfield. "You want to win the last one before going into the break and we F*cken didn't. I have to realize that it was a tough situation for us, seeing that “The Man” gave it to us where the sun don’t shine and it you don’t know what that is, well its my big black behind”.

The Bulldogs made a valiant effort at a comeback, after being down 9-4 going into the third they scored five goals to close out the game but it was not enough.

"There were a lot of things that I liked in the game," said Rookie Chris Bednarek. "I liked the way we battled back by putting constant pressure we put on. We were able to put ourselves in the position to get points in the game."

Instead of looking at the short term and the loss to Full House tonight, the players and fans can focus on the big picture. The Bulldogs sit in fifth place of the 18 teams in the league with 12 points (6-3) and are only 4 points behind from the top team.

"Tonight until we go to bed, it's a very tough loss," said co-captain Mike Mancuso. "We battled hard to get back.

"But when you wake up tomorrow, you have to look at the all the work and all the points we have and just come back and get ready for the Leafs."

"It's been a very good start and we're happy in the position where we are," said Maher Karim. "But there are a lot of little things we need to improve on to finish the season."

The Bulldog now take a well deserved break and look to get back into action on July 15th against the Leafs.

Notes- Since Coach Jules took over the Coaching duties for the Bulldogs, its been rumored that several players are missing and lying about being sick or having injuries that prevent them from playing. To put a stop to this Coach Jules officially hired a new team Doctor. Jules remarks after the announcement, "Taking nothing from Sambo, I am sure by the time he finishes his schooling our new Dr. will be buried and dead. I've told our new Doc, that if anyone is ill or has a nagging injury to put the Mother F*cker to sleep. I have no time to be dealing with p*ssies, who don't show because their as* muscles don't work, I mean I got rid of that penis prancing Darlfer to reduce the stress in the locker room, then again Chris may be claiming the new Penis prancing Champ.

The Good:

  • The Team: All Heart... the Bulldogs never gave in..

The Bad:

  • Goaltending: Yikes.. what happened? Normally solid Martinez fell ill to the Swiss Cheese virus.

 The Ugly:

  • Chris's new Cup: Take that Dam thing back.. looks used.
