Bulldogs out skated by Cones

 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS Cones Date/Time Rink
2 8 05/24/2006 JIH

May 25th, 2006- What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas could not be more true as the Bulldogs left what they had back in the desert placing 2nd in the Nationals and losing 8-2 to a bunch of Cones here at home.

More interested in Maher's dance moves and stories of crapping tigers, the Bulldogs forgot that they had a game to play.

The first period began with the Bulldogs playing their usual self and seem to be heading into a game control tempo, but flashes of what would later become the norm would start to un-fold. The Cones scored at 5:35 of the first by muscling there way to the net. This would be the story the entire game, as the Cones would crash the net and put bodies in front causing havoc for both the Bulldogs goalie and defenders.

"We need to do a better job covering the points, we are getting out hustled" stated Maher Karim who seemed tired after the game. Martinez also commented, " Overall bad game, starting with me, we need to get our head out of our asses".

With the loss the Bulldogs now fall to 4th in the standings as they now prepare to once again hit the tournament circuit and defend the Denny Pratt Cup this Memorial Day weekend.

The Good:

  • Nothing

The Bad:

  • Defense- normally the Bulldogs strength, the Bulldogs collapsed in this area giving up 8 goals and being blown out.
  • Dead beats, you know who you are, pay up be traded.

 The Ugly:

  • The renaming of the Caca Jerseys, from now on they will be known as the Feeney Jerseys.

Player of the Game:

Mike Montague

While the Bulldogs got smoked, Monty was able to score two goals on this night. Good job "Flash".
