It's Finally Over

 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS Gear Daddies Date/Time Rink
2 4 01/03/2006 American

January 6th, 2005- Though this was not the toughest season that the Bulldogs have played in, they are glad its over. This past Tuesday night the Bulldogs played there last playoff game at CID losing 4-2 to the Gear Daddies. The game was also probably the last game for the Bulldogs at the CID Adult League. The decision is not final, but all sign's are showing the Bulldogs focusing on the BHL that is set to start Jan.19th

"I want to thank everyone for participating this past season at CID"  said General Manager Alex Martinez in a speech to the team. "not the season we expected, but overall I think some lessons have been learned".

Captain Jason Darfler added comments after the emotional Martinez could not longer finish his speech. "I would like to say the same and a job well done last game.  I was very
proud of how we played.  Even though it was a loss we played together as a team" Darfler continued to say "We had fun and it was a clean game.  I expect that every game now and I
believe that is how this team will become successful once again"

The Bulldogs have been invited to return play at CID, but with the BHL starting in Jan and other leagues calling them to participate, its difficult to see what will they decide on doing.

Look for the Bulldogs to open up there first regular season game against the "Cobras" on January 20th at Hoffman Estates in there inaugural BHL game.

The Good:

  • Overall Good team play... The Bulldogs cycled well and seem to look for a positive offensive realignment next season.

The Bad:

  • The season was bad overall with team issues that have stayed away from the tabloids.

 The Ugly:

  • Darren's bad thoughts on Alex doing a $20 table dance... ewwww.

Player of the Game:

none : Tony Feeney

All I can say is MAN DOWN! Congratulations to Tony and Pam on there engagement.

Next up: Friday January 20th.... BHL
