 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS DYNAMO Date/Time Rink
7 8 10/22/2007 The Edge Ice Arena

October 22nd, 2007- It may not have been the start the Chicago Bulldogs were hoping for, losing the season opener to Dynamo 8-7 Sunday night at The Edge Ice Arena, but there were some elements of the game that may have been bigger than the score.

The Bulldogs are now back on the ice, since the fiasco back in July and at that time the future of the team was in doubt.

"I think it's special," returning Bulldog player Darren Diamond said . "I think this team is mature and excited about being back on the ice".

Joe Van Grimbergen continued his scoring from last season, adding his 100th career goal for the Bulldogs in the 1st period. Once the goal was scored, the game stopped for a moment and the fans in attendance all stood up on their feet to acknowledge this incredible feat. "I'm very happy right now and words cannot explain how I am feeling at the moment" said a very somber and sober Joey FV.

Ryan Scalon and Mike Farias wasted no time trying to fill the voids left by departed Chris and Danny Bednarek. Farias scored  in the first period, while Scalon played solid defense and had several scoring chances.

The Bulldogs wait now from the league on when they play next and look to get thier 1st win

Notes- N/A

The Good:

  • Offense: Solid... scoring not an issue in this game.
  • Defense: A few meltdowns here and there were costly, stop the fancy shit on the ice Sam.

The Bad:

  • Goaltending: Martinez had a solid 1st period and 3rd.. The 2nd however he looked like freshly made Swiss Cheese.

  • Defense: A few meltdowns here and there were costly, stop the fancy shit on the ice Sam.

 The Ugly:

  • The MIA's: Thanks for the heads up guys. Glad to see you give a rat's ass. Ever heard of a phone call.
