March 3rd, 2008- Danny Bednarek can stop worrying. The pressure is off now that he made his Bulldogs return memorable. Danny scored two goals in sparking an 7-6 win over last season Champions "Paladium" on Saturday night, a day after being called up from the Milwaukee Milkshakes.

"To have a player step in and have as good night first night after being called up, it's almost a dream come true," Bulldogs Assistant Captain Mike Mancuso commented after the game.

"When your confidence is not where you want it to be and the first shot you make you score, it helps," said Danny, who was labeled an underachiever the Milkshakes. "I'm glad everything went the way I wanted everything to go. ... Yeah, it's a good start, but nothing is done yet. I will make the best of things while I'm here".

The win is an important statement by the Bulldogs team that had the potential of unraveling after losing Koehler and team captain Joey F*cken V. for the next few games.

Ryan Scanlon also scored twice for the Bulldogs and added two assist's while Joe Koldziejczak, Sam Karim and Scott Gazorek all netted one a piece.

The Bulldogs, who are currently undefeated in league play this season are 5-0-1 and are back in action this Tuesday night at the Darien Sportsplex @ 10:40pm as they play "Puckin Awesome".

The Good:

  • Offense- The last couple of games the Offense has really stepped up creating an identity of their own.
  • Defense- A bit sluggish this time around, but good enough for the win.
  • Goaltending- Decent in key moments, again good enough for the win.

The Bad:

  • None

 The Ugly:

  • #43- Did you catch your goal on "NHL on the fly"? Well you celebrated as though it should be..  that along with the cheap shot to the goalie in Beer league hockey is it? Then again your probably a janitor somewhere and at point in your life there needs to be a meaning I suppose. Good job on the goal then.
