 GAME RECAP

BULLDOGS WARRIORS Date/Time Rink
10 12 02/08/2007 IIC, Romeoville, IL

February 9th, 2007- It was a cold and snowy night and the Bulldog bus had to drive through the storm to make it to the game this past Tuesday night. The players that survived the drive came out to play only to lose 12-10 to the Warriors.

Backup goaltender James Senne looked impressive during warm up, stopping the puck at all costs. The Bulldogs had a new warm up routine taking rapid shots using only one puck.

Quickly into the first period Bulldog Star Mike “Moose” Mancuso put a shot into the net to give the Bulldogs an early lead.  The Warriors would soon tie the game up and the goal scoring would be high.  At the end of the first the score was tied 3-3 with Mancuso putting in 2 of three.

The Bulldogs would have been in trouble except for this great player.  Frank Lionello scored the other goal of the period in a devastating slapshot.

The second period was owned by Joey Koehler scoring the next FIVE Bulldog goals.  Joey kept the Bulldogs into the game with the second ending 7-6. This is where the legend of the cursed puck comes in. This evil puck is said to enter the goaltender’s body and cause his team to loose.  The Warriors used this evil tactic to beat the Bulldogs.

In the third the cursed puck was slipped into play and then a Warrior took a shot and the puck entered Senne’s body.  The refs spent 10 minutes looking for the missing puck, but little did they know the puck was working its evil inside Senne.  The Warriors used the curse to score 6 goals on Senne in the third to win the game.

There is no other explanation on how the Warriors could have won the game. The Warriors are dealers of Black Magic and the Bulldogs do not endorse that kind of behavior.

The Bulldogs are 2-3 in their last 5 games and are in a 3 game losing streak.

Notes- The Chicago Bulldogs will be looking for players for up coming tournaments in 2007. Tournaments include, Las Vegas, Local Chicago and Germany. Please visit our contact section and email us. The Bulldogs are not a fully sponsored team, we are currently looking for sponsors and note that all players pay their own way.

The Good:

  • Offense: Are these guys getting better? who knows, but the offense was there, with Joey Koehler, Frank Lionello and Mancuso scoring multiple goals. John Reeg is also on a scoring frenzy himself.

  • Defense: Not having two of its defenders (Tony and Jason) hurt the team, but they made up for it by scoring 5 of the 10 goals.

  • Goaltending: Was solid until the Evil Puck did James in.

The Bad:

  • MIA: Tony was once again influence by Leprechauns into a local Irish Pub and by the time he remembered he had a game is was Wed. Jason, was off in New York filming an Adult Motion Picture called "AMEN TO THAT".

 The Ugly:

  • Alex Martinez: This Bulldogs goalie is feeling total shame for his suspension. During the last few weeks while serving his suspension Alex has attended Anger Management and sexual harassment counseling. He has also been seen out in the community volunteering in African American events in celebration of Black History Month.
