DAHL (Darien Adult Hockey League) is a fun league
where adults can go out and play a game
with your buddies, have a few beers and
get out of the house to avoid the
nagging wife. In case you happened to
make the suspension list please make
sure it was for either protecting your
goalie or protecting your life if not
then below is a message for you.
Wake up.
You're 30+ years old, and you're playing
beer league hockey. You won't be drafted
by a team in a higher division, because
your wrist shot is now 0.5 km/h faster
than last season. And you still won't be
able to stickhandle through the cones in
practice, because not only is there is
no practice, but the stick is too damn
light an uncontrollable for your
callused hands of cement.
League Overview
 The
Adult Recreational Ice Hockey programs run all year.
Sessions generally start in January, June and September
running 11 to 17 weeks depending on which session is
running.
Fall and Winter session - average 15 games.
Spring session - 11 games.
Summer session - 9 games
Typical game times from September to April are
weeknights around 10:20 pm, with some weekend games
(Friday and Saturday) at 11:50 pm. Spring and summer
times are much earlier, with some games starting at 7
pm.
Games consist of three 15 minute stop time periods with
running clock after 7 goals in the third period or 15
combined penalties at any point in the game.
